Dr Tariq Saboor

Dr Saboor is a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon at Forth Valley NHS Trust, as well as a private practice.
Having graduated from the King Edward Medical College, Lahore in 1987, he won the Academic Distinction award and Gold Medal, before completing Basic Ophthalmic Surgical Training in Glasgow and Essex in 1992. He was awarded the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, alongside the Fellowship of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists in London.
Dr Saboor has performed thousands of cataract and IOL procedures, having been conducting laser refractive surgeries since 2000.
With a vast experience in various excimer lasers, his experience includes implantation of multifocal, accommadative lenses, toric implants to correct astigmatism, and phakic ICLs.
A keen teacher, Dr Saboor has trained many doctors and nurses, regularly organising courses in phacoemulsification (small incision cataract surgery), and has lectured across the UK and the globe.
